About Us
The swim team is open to all families of the Jonestown Swim and Tennis Club. Anyone 18 years of age or younger who can swim the length of the pool (25 meters) is eligible. We are conveniently located off Jonestown Road and are members of the Greater Forsyth Swim League, comprised of 20 local community swim teams. The season begins the first week the pool is open in May and generally ends the 3rd week of July following our League Championship meet held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. We typically have 5-6 dual meets at both at our home pool and away pools. The Sharks season finishes with an awards banquet after the League Championships.
Jonestown also offers on adult team for those 19 & older members who welcome the chance to improve their cardiovascular fitness and get some laps in with a little extra instruction from our coaches. While our older swimmers are ineligible to participate in League swim meets due to age restrictions, there will be various intra-squad competitions as well as City Meet, which is open to all ages.
